Dear Sir,
I am writing to you again to ask you how and why is it possible in the 21st century that a country who could join the European Union one day still happens to treat its stray animals like garbage?
Sadly we have been aware that in Bilecik, Bozuyuk municipality dogs including puppies have been tortured, killed and thrown into garbage containers like rubbish.
This is simply unacceptable, and quite unbelievable. In your country as in all others, people who love animals and are devoted to their cause are numerous, lots of them try to save lives, to make these pets adopted, and practise spay and neuter with their own money. This is a scandal, regarding the law voted in 2004. Do you think these people don’t know that you let these dogs be killed with their taxes? Do you think they are happy to be part of this barbary? Do you take your people as fools?
An animal is a living, sentient being with brains and heart, it is not garbage, impure or any insane purpose for provoking their pain, suffering or death. No one can defend this for any purpose. Not even China, the great murderer beyond all.
The world is watching Turkey for a long time now, and who would like to put a foot in such a land, apart for helping the organizations? Only people who don’t care about animals, about life. Selfish, useless people who have no respect, only interested by short pleasure.
An animal is a gift from God. he is your fellow for life, never fed up of you, will never betray you.
Life is sacred, It is a sin to kill even a spider, what about killing puppies? Raping them? Burning them, burying them alive? Is it a good example for children?
I have no words to express how disgusting it is for us to watch these horrifying pictures. But Turkish people who care are not alone. We will never stop. Until the killing is over forever.
We will write to the media, we will ask the TVs to talk about this, we will send tons of petitions, and letters, we will do protests until you stop, and apply the law. We’ll never stop denouncing your cruel behaviour. Besides, nobody can hide from oneself in the end.
We urge you to do something to stop the killing, please!
